Job Description
Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Limited, (PSPC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of State Bank of Pakistan under Companies Act, 2017. The Corporation, being the nation’s sole security printing entity responsible for producing banknotes, passports, and other security documents, is looking for dynamic, high caliber, experienced professional to further strengthen its capacity to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
The incumbent is responsible for the management and facilitation, administration and profitability of the workshop Services in the PSPC premises. The workshop operations consisting of, but not limited to: continuous availability of lathe and grinding services to the production departments, fabrication services to all the plant sites, Preventative maintenance and repair (or replacement) of workshop machinery, electronic card and equipment repair services for the plant machinery. The incumbent will be responsible to maintain compliance with industry standards and promote innovation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Management of all activities within the workshop, including the oversight of engineering staff, apprentices and trainees whilst carrying out activities.
- Health and safety priority and compliance to be upheld within the workshop area.
- Training of apprentice or new staff members in workshop practice.
- Liaise with the Engineering and Production Departments to priorities technical jobs, work schedule and allocation of workshop time.
- Maintenance and selection of appropriate equipment and tools as per the OEM Manuals.
- Operation of machine equipment for purposes of fabrication, manufacture. Assembly of tools, products, prototypes as required.
- Stock control and ordering of relevant materials or components.
- Continuously seeking to improve operations and manufacturing efficiency.
- Management and prioritization of workorders and implement proper closure of work orders.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
A minimum of sixteen years of education in Mechanical/ Material Sciences/ Metallurgical / Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline from reputed university recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Certification such as NEBOSH and NDT Level 1 or 2 would be an added advantage.
Age:
Maximum 35 years as on the last date of submission of application to PSPC.
Experience:
At least 05 years’ relevant experience in a major workshop of any reputable organization.
Compensation:
- A market-based package as per Corporation’s policy will be offered.
