Job Description

Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Limited, (PSPC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of State Bank of Pakistan under Companies Act, 2017. The Corporation, being the nation’s sole security printing entity responsible for producing banknotes, passports, and other security documents, is looking for dynamic, high caliber, experienced professional to further strengthen its capacity to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.


The incumbent is responsible for providing maintenance services and support to the production departments on the most efficient methods. The maintenance engineer’ role consists of, but is not limited to: Quick addressing of machine issues, deployment of relevant maintenance teams to multiple locations according to skill of people and nature of problem. Maintain tool kits for efficient use when required. Ensure the preventative maintenance and repair (or replacement) of equipment is done as per the recommendation of the OEM as per their maintenance manuals, maintain problem’s detail report as well a summary report at the end of shift for a comprehensive understanding of the incoming shift. He/ she shall ensure work compliance with industry standards and promote healthy work culture by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve maintenance excellence.


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:


  1. Ensure schedule maintenance compliance of machines as per the OEM recommendations.
  2. Manage assigned maintenance responsibilities in accordance with company’s services guidelines, the Project & Contract Management process and general management practices in a safe & cost-effective way.
  3. Implementing preventive and corrective action as necessary and inform the relevant officials in Production about the new actions.
  4. Responsible for all activities relating to the daily maintenance management of the production machines inclusive of planning and implementation of plant maintenance (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & PLC).
  5. Responsible to communicate with the plant team relative to the condition of the equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements.
  6. Supervises and directs the electronics technicians to effectively perform the functions of equipment repair, installation, start-up, operation and other duties as required.
  7. Reviews technicians’ work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques and safety requirements; makes recommendations as requirements to improve quality and productivity
  8. Responsible for implementation of plant safety policy and safety programs according to machine requirements.
  9. Establish and implement standard maintenance policies and procedures as per the OEM Manuals.
  10. Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.
  11. To identify and actively seek to improve maintenance reliability and availability.
  12. Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development for team members in collaboration with Group Head.


Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

A minimum of sixteen years of education in Industrial Electronics/ Digital Electronics / Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from reputed university recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).


Certification such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, Lean & Six Sigma, PLC/ SCADA, IEEE/ ISA system in power system and control will be considered as an added advantage.


Age:

Maximum 35 years as on the last date of submission of application to PSPC.


Experience:

At least 05 years’ relevant experience in any reputable organization.

  1. A market-based package as per Corporation’s policy will be offered.
