Job Description
Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Limited, (PSPC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of State Bank of Pakistan under Companies Act, 2017. The Corporation, being the nation’s sole security printing entity responsible for producing banknotes, passports, and other security documents, is looking for dynamic, high caliber, experienced professional to further strengthen its capacity to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
The incumbent is responsible for providing general direction in leading, managing, and coordinating the day-to-day activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the RO water plant, Wastewater Treatment plant, Pre-treatment operations and Preventive Maintenance under the direction of the Utilities Manager. This position requires an individual with a service and results-oriented mentality to assist in planning, ensure production and treatment resiliency, effectively direct staff while overseeing multiple areas within the department, and manage and coordinate efforts for capital projects. The incumbent will be responsible to maintain compliance with industry standards and promote innovation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensure that regulatory compliance is achieved through proper treatment and maintenance and testing of treated water, bore water as well as drinking water.
- Manages the overall operation and maintenance of all equipment of the treatment plant and associated facilities.
- Develops and revises operating parameters to achieve regulatory compliance.
- Maintain bore hole health check throughout the month.
- Manages Capital and Operation and Maintenance Improvement and Reliability Programs at the treatment plant to ensure efficient and effective results.
- Evaluates the performance of the treatment plants directly and indirectly through subordinate supervisors against the section’s defined performance plan, approved budget, and organizational goals and objectives; and seeks consistency with other organizational units.
- Assigns and explains the work requirements and operating instruction to subordinate workers; reviews work plans to control costs, balance workloads.
- Anticipate and avoid delays, and meet deadlines and evaluates work in progress and reviews completed work.
- Oversees all staffing plans, personnel actions, and employee relation activities; develops performance measures and ensures they are consistently applied.
- Promotes employee training and development and responds to complaints and grievances.
- Oversees the preparation of the section budget; monitors expenditure activities and reviews budget variance report and determines and implements all necessary corrective action.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and requirements;
- Ensures all workplace health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensures procedures are in place to avoid violations; and implements resulting recommendation from audits.
- Implement water saving methodologies within the plant.
- Ensure the RO Plant water is dosed as per the requirement and its discharge is measured and disseminated according to Plant’s need.
- Prepare and maintain all standby pumps and seals for a continuous working of all plant’s pumping needs.
- Provide requisite trainings to workers to ensure they are able to operate all types of available pumps in inventory and are capable to carry out maintenance as and when required on them.
- Provides on-call management support and response to the treatment plants outside of business hours.
- Must respond to emergency operation situations for any situation that effects or limits the abilities of the treatment facilities on a 24/7 basis.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
A minimum of sixteen years of education in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline from reputed university recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Age:
Maximum 35 years as on the last date of submission of application to PSPC.
Experience:
At least 05 years’ relevant experience in any reputable organization.
Compensation:
- A market-based package as per Corporation’s policy will be offered.
